"Bring on a Challenge"

Spend a few days around Eddie and you’ll hear one thing - his laugh. Not a chuckle or snort, but a laugh-out-loud funny laugh that makes you want to be in on the joke. It makes you smile. Wherever you are - on the phone, reading email or standing in someone’s office; you’ll hear it. And you’ll laugh, too! We consider this a pretty good thing. It means he’s having fun. He keeps telling us he’ll quit when it stops being fun. We think he’ll be around for awhile. Now, you may ask, what could be this much fun about transportation? It’s the great clients we have. Eddie’s always saying how lucky we are, and it’s true. When you have clients you enjoy being around and you love turning out a great service for them, then that is truly what being in business is all about.

Another thing about Eddie - the man digs a challenge. Give him a venue 45 minutes away and 15,000 people who need to get there and he’ll find a way to do it, AND make it look easy. He can take an empty parking lot and turn it into a transportation masterpiece. You’ve never seen anything like it. He’s figured out more ways to empty out convention centers, theme parks, concert halls, speedways, domes, museums, coliseums and even factories than anyone else on the planet. And lest we forget, he’s an avid golfer and a HUGE music fan (over 2,000 CD’s). What are his crowning accomplishments? How about starting STS in 1990, being married for over 25 years and being the father of two beautiful daughters? No wonder he laughs all the time. He’s one lucky man.

"This ain't her first bus rodeo"

Judging from her picture alone, it’s obvious Karen is not exactly your typical Vice President. She’s a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll, with a dash of heavy metal and jazzy blues. Needless to say, she isn’t formal, stuffy or conventional. She’s a free spirit that really loves those buses. When she’s on the job she can tell you where each of your 200 buses are, where they’ve been, where they’re going AND the driver’s name - but she can’t find her car keys. That’s ok, because any one of us would take her home, knowing she would do the same for us. She loves her company and she loves what she does.

Besides buses, K-Ro (as she is often called) loves to garden, cook and knit. (Ok, we lied, she doesn’t know how to knit, but it sounded good with the gardening and cooking.) She’s been married for twenty years has two teenage children and two cool dogs that keep her guessing at home, but one thing is for sure: she’s never guessing at work. She is quick with one-liners that keep us in stitches most of the day, which makes for a happy, fun work place. It also makes us thankful to have such a wonderful person to work with. She makes us want to be better people and to make her proud. We hope you get the opportunity to meet K-Ro and see what we mean. You will want to do business with her AND help her find her car keys.
