Stewart Parking will Manage LP Field Parking Operations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
NASHVILLE Stewart Parking Solutions (SPS), a Nashville-based parking operations management company, has been selected by the Metropolitan Sports Authority to manage parking operations at LP Field.
With the opening of Cumberland Park on the East Bank, the LP field campus will be an increasingly popular destination for special events, recreation and leisure. Given its expertise in managing large-scale parking and transportation logistics, Stewart Parking was chosen to manage the many opportunities on the horizon for the major complex, said Metro Sports Authority Chairman J.D. Elliott.
Stewart Parking has also reached an agreement with the Tennessee Titans to manage parking for events controlled by the NFL team under the terms of its contract with the Sports Authority. In addition to their home games, the Titans are responsible for managing parking for several major events including Tennessee State University home football games, CMA Music Fest, Music City Bowl and other special events.
The Sports Authority is very pleased to announce this partnership with Stewart Parking Solutions, said Elliott. Stewart is a well-known and respected transportation logistics company with a strong local presence. We see a tremendous opportunity with Stewart given their commitment to incorporating new technology while staying focused on the customer. They will continue our tradition of delivering a positive service experience on the LP Field campus.
The Sports Authority selected Stewart following a competitive process, Elliott said. The Authority was impressed with Stewart Parking Solutions plans for enhancing revenue opportunities, customer service and technology upgrades, Elliott said.
Said Don MacLachlan, Titans executive vice president of administration and facilities, Our organization is thrilled to be a partner with Stewart Parking Solutions to raise the level of customer service for all of the events we host at LP Field. Eddie Stewart and his company have done an outstanding job in Nashville for a long time because their number one priority is taking care of customers. For that reason, this is a perfect fit for our organization.
Said Stewart Parking founder Eddie Stewart, We are excited to have this new opportunity and look forward to working with the Metropolitan Sports Authority and Titans to achieve an exceptional level of service for anyone who parks at LP Field, whether it is for a game, concert or special event. Our job is to enhance the fan experience. We are ready for it.
Our company is fortunate to conduct parking and transportation logistics for companies and major events all across the country, but it is always special when we are involved in major projects in our hometown, Stewart said.
Parking management and transportation logistics for the LP Field campus became a priority as plans for East Bank development advanced, Elliott said.
The LP Field campus will become an increasingly popular destination with the April opening of Metro Cumberland Park, which includes an amphitheatre, family splash park, greenway connector, and concessions. The Authority and Titans expect increased auto traffic to LP Field for special events, recreation and leisure for locals and tourists.
The Sports Authority considers the East Bank of the Cumberland River the new front lawn for East Nashville, Elliott said. For that reason, Stewarts logistical expertise is needed now more than ever.
Visitors to LP Field campus parking in the near future will see some physical and other changes related to the parking and transit experience, Elliott and Stewart said. Those include:
Installation of the most advanced solar-power ticketing machines for self-pay parking. The new units are faster and easier for customers to use. Customers will also be able use their smart phones, via a special app, to pay for parking with the click of a button.
Hand-held credit- and debit-card readers to process payments for paid events as a method to speed up traffic flow into LP Field.
New solar-powered stations to charge electric vehicles will make LP Field a green-transit destination.

When to hire third-party transportation
Meeting Tips from Eddie Stewart
Sometimes, the term third party has a bad connotation in the business world.
However, there are several types of third-party transportation companies that may be useful to planners. The key is to recognize and understand the differences between them and decide which type best fits your program.
Check out what “More Space” means for STS Seattle & Nashville
Space (speis)—n
1. the unlimited three-dimensional expanse in which all material objects are located.
2. an interval of distance or time between two points, objects, or events.
3. a blank portion or area.
4. a. unoccupied area or room: There is no space for a table.
b. (in combination): space-saving
Related: spacious
5. freedom to do what a person wishes to for his or her own personal development
The Nashville Office is going through its fourth remodel. In 1997 we decided to UPGRADE the SPACE and used glue melthing chemicals to remove the age old carpet. The happy result...beautiful hard wood floors underneath it all. Boy, was that a job! We’re pretty sure we destroyed massive amounts of brain cells doing the first overhaul.
Then, the busier we got the hungrier we got (probably the chemicals), so in 2003 we decided we needed a BIGGER KITCHEN with more SPACE. While we were at it we added a deck. That was the OUTDOOR SPACE we needed! Then we started adding clients and with more clients came more employees, and before you knew it, we needed MORE SPACE. We needed to store lots of things like company shirts, files, boxes, traffic cones and signs that read BUSES ONLY and DO NOT ENTER. Where to put all that stuff?
So, in 2006, we remodeled again, adding TWO SPACES for a couple of employees and more storage. Plus, we added a basement, that has often served as a tornado shelter, and a carport for the old STS pickup truck! SPACE! We had SPACE!
But, guess what? It happened again, more clients and employees. So this year, we decided to remodel THE SPACE we currently occupy by building more offices. While all of this is going on behind us, folks in the front are buddying up and living with a little LESS SPACE in order to make MORE SPACE for others! We can’t wait for all the SPACE to be finished, because it’s going to be awesome. We may even have room for a ping pong table! We think that’s a GREAT use of SPACE! We’ll continue to keep you posted on our continuing quest for MORE SPACE!
Seattle
Happy Anniversary to the Seattle office! May 1st marked the 1st Anniversary of the opening of the Stewart Transportation Solutions Bellevue, Washington office. Located on Bel-Red Road, the new STS office is just a stone’s throw away from the Microsoft Redmond Campus and all the shops, restaurants and fun spots to hang out in Bellevue.
After a few years of our team working out of their homes and getting together a couple of times a week, we decided we needed REAL WORK SPACE for the Seattle peeps! We had a few things in mind when we were looking for a nice place to call home in and well, windows were a big deal. With all the rain Seattle gets we figured light, light and more light was a necessity. We painted walls, cleaned windows and assembled office furniture until we dropped, but we got the office up and running schedule. It is hard to believe it has been a year. Next time you’re in Bellevue, stop by 12951 Bel-Red Road and see our new OFFICE SPACE!
