Our Favorite Things: FitBit

Okay so we’re pretty sure that the STS list of favorite things probably pales in comparison to Oprah’s favorite things, but we still think they’re worth sharing! And probably a lot more affordable. We work hard to maintain a fun company culture so we thought it might be helpful to highlight a few of the things (and ways!) that help us achieve that.

In case you didn’t know, our team can get a bit…competitive, in the best way possible! We’re also pretty interested in maintaining a healthy workplace. So in 2013, we decided to give everyone a FitBit. These handy, and now stylish (check out their new Tory Burch line!), little devices track your daily steps and calories burned.

Doctors recommend taking approximately 10,000 steps/day but unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen. The FitBit helps motivate you to reach that goal. It also allows you to compete with a group of other FitBit users. Or in our case, coworkers!

Sometimes we’re amazed to see just how many steps our team takes over a given time period. And we try to reward and recognize the people who go above and beyond whenever we can. We’re always proud of them but when they push themselves to be healthier, we can’t help but feel an extra special sense of pride! If you’re looking for a way to motivate your team and help them live a healthier lifestyle, we highly recommend the FitBit!
